I recently published this on my website Wise-Owl-Marketing.com. I had originally intended it to be shared here, but because of my 90 Day Who’s Who challenge I decided to publish it there instead. Kimberly’s story totally fits the transformation theme of Becoming Me so I’m republishing it here too.
A few weeks ago I had the honor of interviewing Kimberly Lin Pollard, a success mentor who is on a mission to help 1 million women tame the trolls of fear doubt and overwhelm. You can listen to her inspiring story below.
The Inspiration Behind the Series, “From Stuck to Success”
I’ve been inspired by success stories forever. Seeing people who achieve a big goal, whether it be significant weight loss, paying down debt, or building a business is motivating. We all love stories of heroes, watching them go through the awakening of a dream, the transformation of realizing their strengths, developing their skills, and using their newly found gifts to change the world.
As I’ve been helping female coaches and creative entrepreneurs build websites to tell their stories, I’ve become really aware of the common challenges many of us face. We all encounter limiting beliefs, fears, self-imposed speed bumps on the journey to success. And that’s what inspired me to interview people who have made it past those obstacles and are growing successful online businesses.
After sitting on the idea for months, I decided to jump in (scared as I was) and book my first interview with Kimberly Lin Pollard.
Choosing Kimberly Lin Pollard as My First Interview:
I was introduced to Kimberly when Cassie Howard from the Babes in Business Facebook group posted about Kimberly’s huge success. When Kimberly started coaching with Cassie, she was feeling stuck and insecure, seeing others achieving success in their businesses. She was asking herself, “Why are they experiencing all of this success and I’m not? Why do I feel so left behind?” But after taking action in her business and putting herself out there she was able to make $9500 in three weeks.
Her story spoke to me and I felt like she’d be a great first interview. She was someone who knew what it felt like to be insecure and had discovered her authentic way of pushing past it to go from Stuck to Success. After I asked her if she’d be open to doing an interview, she told me about her past struggles with her own internal trolls that fight to keep her stuck. I knew right away she was perfect!
Don’t let the trolls of anxiety and fear steal your success!
Listen to Kimberly teach you how to tame your trolls and stay on track after a setback!
The interview is not perfect. I had to do her intro several times to get it right and I still goofed and said she was on a mission to help 1000 women, not 1 million…but it’s done! I’m taking Kimberly’s advice, telling my trolls to hush, and pushing publish on it anyway. Her story is too good to let my own fear get in the way.
